Deep Purple Konzertabsagen – Mai bis Juli 2020

Leider werden die Konzerte die vom Mai bis Juli 2020 in Europa stattfinden sollen nach und nach abgesagt. Bis heute sind von den geplanten 23 Konzerten schon 9 Konzerte / Festivals gestichen.

Die erste Absage gab es am 7. April für das Moskauer Konzert (31. Mai).

Graspop Metal Meeting, Clam Rock und Lovely Days Festival 2020 abgesagt

Das wird sich wohl in den nächsten Tagen und Wochen so weiter entwickeln, dass Konzert- und Festivalabsagen eintreten.

Am 15. April wurde Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel (Belgien) abgesagt. Das Festival wurde auf das Jahr 2021 verschoben.

Mit dem 17. April kamen die Absagen für Clam Rock und das Lovely Days Festival in Österreich.

Hellfest 2020 abgesagt – verschoben auf 2021

Das Hellfest sollte vom 19. bis 21. Juni 2020 in Clisson, Frankreich, stattfinden. Nun wurde das Festival abgesagt und auf das Jahr 2021 verschoben.

Aufgrund der anhaltenden Krise der Covid19-Pandemie wurde die am 31. Mai geplante Moskauer Show von Deep Purple leider abgesagt. Die Zukunft der europäischen Sommertour 2020 von Deep Purple, einschließlich Festivalauftritten beim Hellfest, Graspop Metal Meeting, Tonnen von Rock, Bologna Sonic Park, Klam Rock und vielen mehr, ist noch unbekannt.

Whoosh! erscheint erst im August 2020

Das neue Album Whoosh! wird erst im August 2020 auf den Markt kommen, vorgesehen war für die Veröfftlichung der 12. Juni 2020. Dies gab Ian Gillan bei facebook bekannt.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction…well, not exactly in this case; more cause and effect, where the latter is often greater than the former.

Distribution lines (the physical sales of CDs, vinyl, cassettes (?) etc) and retail outlets are closed until The Dreaded Lurgy* gets indigestion.

Therefore, as there are still so many of us who love to hold a new record in our hands, and following advice from our magnificent label, we have decided to delay the release of Whoosh until August.

During my quarantine I’m listening to a lot of music and guessing that it’s the same for many of us during this scary disruption to our lives.

We know, don’t we, that music will play a big part in our celebrations as we step back into the light.

But, health comes first, so I must stuff my excitement about sharing Whoosh with you back into a box for a little while.
